Cell Brands
When standard 36V or 48V packs do not provide enough range or discharge headroom, our 52V E-bike platforms give OEM buyers a proven starting point. The KT-E60, KT-E60-PRO, KT-E33, and KT-E33PRO families cover integrated-frame and down-tube layouts with 18650 or 21700 cells, including 52V 20Ah, 23Ah, 26Ah, and 30Ah catalog configurations.
For OEM programs, we customize the pack around your frame, motor controller, display, connector layout, and certification target. Engineering work can include cell selection analysis, BMS firmware tuning, connector/harness design, enclosure modifications, label artwork, and packaging. New tooling or major enclosure changes are handled as custom development with a clear sample and mass-production timeline.
We manage the certification package needed for target markets, including UN38.3 transport documents, CE/RoHS paperwork, MSDS/SDS, and IEC62133 or UL-family testing when required. For high-capacity E-bike programs entering multiple markets simultaneously, we sequence certification and sample builds to minimize time-to-market.
The four 52V platforms
| Model | Format | 52V capacity | The fit constraint |
|---|---|---|---|
| KT-E60 | Integrated frame | 23–30Ah | 465.5mm channel, 125.4mm section |
| KT-E60-PRO | Integrated frame | 26Ah (52V) / 40Ah (48V) | Same channel, deeper 136.4mm section |
| KT-E33 | Down-tube / shark | 20–30Ah | 367.5 × 157.48mm case, three-point 57mm rail |
| KT-E33-PRO | Down-tube / shark | 20–30Ah | Same case, four-point 60mm rail |
Integrated or external is the first fork, and it is a product decision rather than an engineering one — whether the brand wants the battery hidden or visible and swappable. Only after that does the frame geometry narrow it to a single model.
Check controller compatibility before anything else
52V packs are 14S, against 13S for a 48V pack. That extra series group is the whole point — it holds voltage higher under load, so a given power draw pulls less current and the pack sags less at the top of a climb. It is also the one specification that most often blocks a drop-in upgrade: 14S fully charged sits at 58.8V, and a controller rated to a 48V pack’s 54.6V ceiling will fault or fail on it.
Confirm your controller’s maximum input voltage before committing to the platform. If it tops out below 58.8V, the choice is a controller change or staying on 48V with a higher parallel count, which buys capacity without the voltage step. We would rather flag that at enquiry than at sample approval. The 48V versus 52V comparison walks through the trade in more detail.
What we customize, and what triggers new tooling
The KT-E60, KT-E60-PRO, KT-E33, and KT-E33PRO families cover 14S6P through 14S10P in 20Ah, 23Ah, 26Ah, and 30Ah, in 18650 or 21700 cells. Starting from one of those platforms keeps a project on the standard prototype timeline. Changes that stay inside an existing enclosure — cell selection, parallel count, BMS firmware, connector and harness layout, feature options such as USB, DC2.1, a power switch or an aviation connector, label artwork, and packaging — carry no tooling cost.
A new or substantially modified enclosure is different: it is handled as custom development with its own tooling lead time, quoted separately from the sample timeline shown above. If your frame will accept one of the catalog enclosures, say so early; if it will not, send the frame drawing or a physical sample at the start rather than after the first quote, so the tooling path is priced into the schedule from the beginning. UL-family testing is available on request and should be raised at the same time, since it affects both cell selection and the certification sequence.

Frequently Asked Questions
What information do I need to provide to start a custom project?
Minimum: target voltage, target capacity (Ah or Wh), max dimensions (L×W×H), discharge current (continuous and peak), connector type, and target certifications. More detail accelerates the quote.
Do you charge for engineering design and prototyping?
A non-refundable NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) fee applies for fully custom projects. This covers PCB design, BMS firmware, tooling for enclosure, and sample production. NRE is credited against the first mass production order.
Can you help obtain certifications for new markets?
Yes. We work with accredited third-party labs (SGS, TÜV Rheinland, Intertek, UL) to obtain certifications. We manage the paperwork, sample submission, and follow-up. Certification timelines vary: UN38.3 (2–4 weeks), CE (4–8 weeks), UL (8–16 weeks).
Can you replicate or improve a competitor's battery design?
We can reverse-engineer and improve existing designs. A valid NDA is required before sharing any proprietary information.
