Cell Brands
The KT-E60-PRO is the highest-capacity platform in the integrated range, and its relationship to the KT-E60 is worth understanding before you specify either. The two share a 425mm pack body and a 465.5mm frame channel. What differs is section depth: 136.4mm against 125.4mm. Eleven millimetres of down-tube depth is the whole difference between a 30Ah ceiling and a 40Ah ceiling.
That makes this a frame-design decision made early. If the down-tube is already drawn and shallow, the KT-E60 is the platform. If the frame is still open — or the programme is a cargo or long-range bike where the tube is deep anyway — specifying the PRO cavity costs nothing at design time and leaves the higher capacity available for the life of the model.
Three builds, and why they are not interchangeable
104 21700 cells in 13S8P give 48V 40Ah. 143 18650 cells in 13S11P give 48V 29Ah. 140 18650 cells in 14S10P give 52V 26Ah. The 21700 build is the reason this platform exists — it is the only configuration in our integrated range that reaches 40Ah, and it does so with fewer cells than either 18650 build, which also means fewer weld joints and fewer failure points per pack. Our cell brands and grades guide covers what cell selection does to that number in service.
Fleet duty and the current rating
All builds are 8P or higher, so the full 40A / 60A / 80A continuous range is available. Combined with IP67 sealing and UL94 V-0 housing, this is the platform we most often quote for delivery fleets: the duty cycle is high, the packs stay outdoors, and the range requirement is what drives the whole specification. IEC 62133 and UN 38.3 documentation is issued against the exact configuration ordered.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between KT-E60 and KT-E60-PRO?
Depth, not length. Both use a 425mm pack body in a 465.5mm frame channel. The PRO's section is 136.4mm deep against the KT-E60's 125.4mm, and that extra 11mm is what carries the pack from 30Ah to 40Ah on 21700 cells. If your down-tube can take the deeper section, the PRO is the same integration work for a third more range.
Why is the 40Ah build 21700-only?
40Ah at 13S needs 8 parallel groups of high-capacity cells. The equivalent 18650 build would need 13S11P — 143 cells — and that lands at 29Ah, not 40Ah, because 18650 cells hold less energy each. The enclosure runs out of volume before the 18650 build catches up.
Does 40Ah affect shipping classification?
It affects the paperwork, not the class. A 48V 40Ah pack is roughly 1,920Wh, well over the 100Wh threshold, so it ships as fully regulated Class 9 under UN 3480 with a UN 38.3 report — the same regime as the 30Ah packs, but state-of-charge and packing limits matter more at this size.
