Cell Brands
The KT-E57 is the smallest platform in our integrated-frame range, and it exists for one reason: frames whose down-tube cavity cannot accept the 425mm pack body the larger in-frame models need. Its 336mm body sits in a 405.4mm channel, which is roughly 60mm shorter than the KT-E60 requires — usually the difference between fitting a size-S step-through frame and not.
Capacity follows cell format directly. The 18650 build fills the enclosure with 78 cells in 13S6P for 48V 15.6Ah. Moving to 21700 drops the count to 52 cells in 13S4P and raises the pack to 48V 20Ah in the same volume — a 28% energy gain for a lower cell count, which is the trade most integrated-frame programmes end up making once the enclosure is fixed. See our guide to cell formats for what that substitution does to cost and cycle life.
Parallel count sets the current ceiling, not the BMS
The catalog lists 40A for the 6P build and 40A / 60A / 80A for the 8P build. That ordering is not a marketing tier — it is the cell group. Each parallel group divides the load, so an 8P arrangement can sustain current a 6P arrangement cannot regardless of which BMS is fitted. Tell us the continuous and peak draw of your controller and we size the parallel count and the BMS together; ordering the largest of each independently is how programmes end up paying for headroom the cells cannot supply.
Sealing and enclosure compliance
The enclosure is built to IP67, with UL94 V-0 housing material and EN 50604-1, RoHS and REACH compliance on the mechanical package. IP67 is above what a consumer commuter bike stored indoors needs, and it is the reason this platform is specified for rental and delivery fleets where packs stay mounted through weather. The UN 38.3 test report and CE Declaration of Conformity are issued against the configuration you order, not borrowed from a neighbouring model in this table.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much frame length does the KT-E57 need?
The pack body is 336mm, but the frame channel it drops into is 405.4mm — that difference is the lock, the connector block and the extraction clearance. Design the down-tube cavity to 405.4mm, not to the pack length.
Why choose KT-E57 over the larger KT-E60?
Only when the frame cannot take the KT-E60's 425mm pack body and 465.5mm channel. The KT-E57 tops out at 20Ah on 21700 cells; the KT-E60 reaches 30Ah in the same integrated format. If the geometry allows either, choose on range, not on price.
Does the 80A discharge option apply to every configuration?
No. 40A is available from the 6P build upward; 60A and 80A require the 8P arrangement, because sustained current divides across the parallel groups. Specifying an 80A BMS on a 6P pack buys nothing the cells can deliver.
