The KT-E33 is the 52V entry in the external down-tube range. It shares the KT-E09’s 367.5mm case length, 95mm width and three-point rail, but stands 157.48mm high instead of 140.0mm — the extra depth carries the 14-series cell block that 52V requires.

Two builds: 112 18650 cells in 14S8P for 52V 20Ah, or 84 21700 cells in 14S6P for 52V 30Ah. The 21700 block measures 316.2 × 140.62mm against the 18650 block’s 314.89 × 135.67mm, so both drop into the same enclosure without a second tool — but the 21700 build carries 50% more energy from a third fewer cells.

Why a programme chooses 52V here

Fifty-two volts buys roughly 8% more watt-hours per amp-hour and lets the motor draw the same power at lower current, which reduces heat in the controller and the harness. On performance eMTB and speed-pedelec builds where sustained power matters, that is the whole argument. On a 25 km/h city bike it usually is not worth a separate SKU.

The constraint is controller tolerance, not the pack. A 14S pack tops out at 58.8V off the charger. Confirm your controller’s maximum input before committing the frame to this platform — it is a cheap check that has ended more than one programme late.

Fit checks, in order

Case length first (367.5mm), then height (157.48mm — this is the one that catches frames drawn around the KT-E09), then the rail pattern: 83.75mm to the first fixing, then 57mm and 57mm. If your frame is drilled on the four-point 60mm pattern instead, the KT-E33-PRO is the same pack on that rail. CE and UN 38.3 documentation is issued against the configuration ordered, and a 14S build never ships on a 13S pack’s test report.

Is the KT-E33 the 52V version of the KT-E09?

Effectively yes, but it is a different case, not a rewired one. Both are 367.5mm long, but the KT-E33 stands 157.48mm high against the KT-E09's 140.0mm. The extra 17mm is what holds the 14S cell block. The rail pattern and the 95mm width are shared.

Does our 48V motor system run on this pack?
